What's the difference between the 'Intermezzo String Quartet' and 'Intermezzo String Trio'?

The Intermezzo String Quartet comprises of 2 violins, a viola and a cello and is the most popular ensemble for events. The Intermezzo String Trio has one less violin which makes it an ideal option for smaller spaces or budgets!

Are you insured?

Yes! All our musicians are members of either the MU or ISM - both cover PLI of up to £10 million.

Do you take breaks?

We take a 10 minute break every hour.

What do you wear?

We like to wear smart, colourful attire but can wear black on request.

What does an Intermezzo Ensemble require on the day?

4 armless chairs and some water please! We don't usually require microphones but are happy to use them if you think they will be necessary. These will need to be provided for us.

How much do you charge?

The Intermezzo String Trio can be booked from £670 and the String Quartet from £790. Please contact us for an individual quote.

Which areas do you cover?

We'll go wherever you want us to! We are based in London, which is where most of our bookings take place. We all have passports and are extremely happy to travel abroad should you wish.

Can you perform outside?

We are more than happy to play outside provided it is warm enough and we are provided adequate shelter from direct sunlight, wind and the rain!
